As well as collecting old fabrics, I started to collect old abandoned portrait photographs. The type of photograph we all might have in old family albums of great-grandparents or great-aunts and uncles when they were young, maybe 100 years ago or more. I wanted to give these discarded figures a reincarnation, an acknowledgement of their past existence, and have started to incorporate them into my work.

Finally completed, this particular artwork was selected for the exhibition TRANSFORMATIONS, part of the first textile biennale organised in Igualada, Spain.
