I was lucky enough to be the chosen artist in residence for 2023.
This has been an important period, giving me time to really develop ideas for a project ‘I feel I might know you‘ based on found and rescued old portrait photographs that I had already started but which, due to lack of time, had become stalemated. Working in a different space, in the peace of the countryside, helped me to view my work differently and clearly.
A second important aspect of the residency was giving a talk about my work at the Uppsala Museum. This made me really sit down and properly think about the red thread that runs through the different aspects of my creativity, and how on the surface it may all seem unrelated but in actuality the one feeds the other and everything is closely related.
